This is definitely the first time I’ve seen a VW dump truck. A user at The Samba posted several photos of specialty Vanagon-esque vehicles. This was my favorite.

This vanagon is listed as crssouth’s Volkswagen Vanagon “TURBO” and it has several hacks and mods. I’m highlighting two of the hacks, but there are several more. The first hack is a new steering wheel. This one is nice! If you look closely in the picture you will notice they have replaced the clock with BOOST gauge.

The second hack is the built-in Garmin GPS. I’m not sure the sun visor is the best place for it, but it’s a nice hack and very well done!

Check out this wood console for the Vanagon courtesy of Modgrain. We don’t have a picture of it installed, but we’re assuming it goes on the floor between the front seats. It provides 2 drink holders and easy access to the back seat area.

This hack came from a user at The Samba. He changed the color of his dash lights and it looks great. He still needs to make the needles glow, but his hack came out quite nice.

We added green lights over our A/C controls, but we haven’t touched our dash lights…yet.
