bamboo-visor

This classic looking Vanagon has an interesting sun visor. It seems to be made out of bamboo. We’ve seen visors before, but never bamboo. Check out the passenger’s door. It has some kind of a roll down shade too.

ragtop-camo-doka

This Ragtop camo Doka is awesome. It looks like it came straight out of the German military. It appears to be Syncro with a huge cover over the rear bed and large driving lights on the front bumper.

gulf

I just love themed Vanagons. We’ve seen quite a few of them before, including a UK theme, JägerBus, and even several Mystery Machines. The theme of this Vanagon is Gulf Oil. It is otherwise normal and nothing special, but I love the theme.

doka-diamond

This 1989 red and black Doka is in great shape. This double cab sports diamond plated door panels that match the rear bed. If you look closely in the picture above, you can see the diamond plated foot step matches too. The theme of this truck is red and black with steel bumpers and running rods. It also sports semi side view mirrors. We’ve seen quite a few of those lately. Click through for more pics.

insane-vanagon-roofrack

This gray Syncro has a lot of extras, but the roof rack is insane. They must be planning to carry a bunch of equipment up there. They have four driving lights up top, and check out the massive side view mirrors. This van also has an extended front bumper. All in all, this van looks great!

beater

This double cab looks like a beater. It has a wooden bed with wood side rails, but not tailgate. The color is definitely rust! Lots of character with this one.

diamond-green

This 1989 VW T3 TURBODIESEL was for sale on eBay. The listing has been removed, but the pictures were archived on germancarsforsaleblog.com. This gorgeous truck has a 1.6 liter turbocharged inline-4 diesel with 5 speed manual transmission. The interior is clean, and the diamond plated bed looks great. They’ve added semi side view mirrors and custom wheels.

painted-wheels

After looking at Vanagons every day, I cannot believe I’ve never come across this one before. This van sports stock wheels, but they’re painted so they look great. Add them to the painted bumpers, eyebrows, clear turn signals, and smaller side view mirrors, and you have yourself a very nice van.

blackedout

This van could almost qualify as a junk yard dog, but it has blacked out Porsche wheels. How is that possible? Without the wheels this one would be a beater, but the rims definitely take it up a notch. This van was listed for sale in 2016. Click through for more.

mural

This van was painted by an artist named Kev Munday. He blogged about painting this mural for a client who chose the picture based on their use for the van – “escaping city life for the peace and quiet of the countryside.” Kev says he likes painting vans because they make a great canvas. Great job! Check out this website to hire him for your van.
