I love these VW trucks. This one is red and black, and there is so much to love about it. We can start with the two-tone vibe with the red and black. I also like the semi-truck side view mirrors. And what about those driving lights. I think what really makes this truck look good is the offset of the wheels. They’re out there pretty wide and it makes the truck look solid. Lastly, it looks like they have washers for the headlights. Nice touch!
This 1989 Transporter was recently for sale. I sure wish we had photos of the interior because this van had a lot of custom work done. If you look closely, you can see a very nice upholstery job on the front seats. You can also look a bit further to see a custom cabinet with sink in the rear. The for sale listing says, “Large U-shaped ‘speed boat style’ white leatherette seating area with table. This easily converts to a massive 6ft X 5.6 ft double bed that could actually sleep 4! High quality 10cm thick very comfortable foam. Bed/seat also reclines to different gradients great for watching T.V or reading.”
I love the white wheels that match the upholstery and the custom paint. Nice job!
This is easily my favorite vanagon by far. I saw picture of this thing years ago and I knew instantly it was the nicest Vanagon I had ever seen. I have a Mercedes sedan that would match this perfectly. I love the paint and the custom wheels. The side view mirrors and leather interior add such a nice touch. I came across this video and just had to post it. Click through to see the video. Enjoy!
This Vanagon is owned by a guy named Jeff from Oregon. He sent us these pictures of his Vanagon and it is definitely unique. For starters, it has wooden bumpers. That’s definitely the first time I’ve seen wooden bumpers on a Vanagon. It also has a green roof rack that was permanently bolted to the roof. I haven’t even mentioned the scenic paint job yet. His air cooled Vanagon is his daily driver and he says he’s fixing her up piece by piece. My suggestion is just throw some Go Westy 16″ wheels on it and call it a day! Click through for more pics.
This Vanagon is used on a page about a Vanagon Factory Service Manual, but who cares about the manual? I love this van. The paint job looks fresh, and they’ve painted the bumpers and grill to match. Add in some driving lights and you have a Vanagon we would all love to drive. This one even looks good with the stock wheels.
Vanagon owners love Scooby-Do’s Mystery Machine, and we have certainly seen our share of them. This is a new take on the Mystery Machine. Its owner, Marc Manning, says it’s a real “head turner.” This pic is from a Bug Jam, but who cares about the Bugs. We only care about the 1988 Vanagon. Check out the paint job and custom wheels on this thing. Click through to see what the owner says about his van.
Check out the custom heavy duty bumper on this beast of a Syncro. They put rubber guards on the shackles help cut down on the noise, and included side protection. I love the side view mirrors and the South African grill.
