colorful

These side window hack Vanagons sure are popular across the pond. I had never seen one, but all of a sudden I’m finding them all over the place. This looks like an early 1980’s camper with a very colorful paint job. It was spotted in Scotland. The large side window is on both sides of the van, including in the sliding door.

Check out this T3 Syncro army truck. It would look like a regular work truck, except it has side panels that flip up to reveal some kind of radio equipment in the back. It has oversized tires and a serious hitch on the bumper. The license plate says “army” but I don’t know what country it is from. Very cool!

What do you do with your dishes while you’re camping in your custom Westy? You build a custom dish rack drawer into your custom cabinet. The rest of the van is just as nice. Click through to see a video walkthrough of this gorgeous van.

jaws

Yesterday we saw a Mick Jagger theme, but today we have to simply call this van Jaws. This early 1980’s camper is dark and has an unusual paint job. Everything seems to be blacked out, and the front teeth just top it all off. Look at the hub caps and jalousies. Dark! Click through to see a cargo net on the back of this van.

This 1980 Safari Zebra themed Vanagon was recently for sale. It looks like the owner had some engine issues that he couldn’t sort out. We have seen other Safari/Zebra Vanagons but this one has an interior to match. Click through to see more pics.

There is not much to say about this truck I found on The Samba. The rear rack is awesome. The owner must be a steel worker or something because it looks homemade. I’d love to buy this truck!

There is a lot to love about this Vanagon Westy. It has lots of character and some special upgrades. The highlight has to be the Chevy V8 350 but it also has upgraded GoWesty suspension and 15 inch wheels. The pictures say it all on this one.

oddtop

This 1985 camper has one of the oddest rooftops I’ve ever seen. It was for sale recently, and the owner says there is enough room in the van to stand up. He also says the top is removable so you can exchange it for a pop top or rag top. Did he make it himself? Is there a company that was making these in Europe? I have no idea.

black-custom

This black VW T25 pop top looks great. I can’t decide if I like the exterior or interior better. I’m not really a guy who likes black cars, but this van looks awesome. There’s not much to say about it, just click through and check it out. The interior was redone with care and it looks great!
