retro-party-drinks

Check out this Vanagon food truck. Retro Party Drinks is a company that offers its van for parties, weddings, or other gatherings in its early 1980’s conversion truck. Aside from the paint job and special rear cab, the truck has extra wide side mirrors to get around that extra large rear. The company serves classic cocktails, lemonade, punch, wine or champagne at your special event. Too bad someone hasn’t created one of these in the states. This one is in the Netherlands.

ultra-high-top

This is one of the highest camper tops I’ve ever seen on a Vanagon. This one has an interesting paint job and nice painted bumpers, but the wheels are weird. Click through for another pic.

custom-flatbed

This custom flatbed conversion is interesting. It looks like he created a tool box or other storage area in the front of the bed, then enclosed the rest with wood. He also has roof mounting driving lights which look interesting.

double-cab-camper

This early 1980’s double cab has a very large camper sitting on its back. We don’t have interior pictures, but this thing looks roomy! I love the bumper bars on the front, as well as the Mercedes style hubcaps. Due to the width of the camper, the owner had to modify the side view mirrors. Nice job!

yellow-camper

Check out this awesome air cooled Transporter with a slide on camper. Usually, these slide on campers are old and crusty, but this one looks great! The truck has driving lights, a body kit, and great paint job. I wish I had some interior pics of the camper.

devon

This is one I had not heard of before today. This customized VW Camper by Devon debuted in the mid-1980’s. The Devon Eurovette has some interesting touches I’ve not seen before, including a beach shower and microwave. As you can see, the standard side windows are missing in favor of smaller windows. Click through to see the customized options in this Devon Eurovette.

best-syncro-west

Is this the best Syncro in the West? Some people think so. This Syncro won Best Syncro at Syncrofest 5 this year and it’s a beauty. The entire van has been redone and I’m drooling. TexasVanagons.com was at Sfyncrofest 5 and has published a very nice feature about this van. Click through for a few more pics.

autosleeper

Check out this VW T25 Autosleeper VT20. This is a straight pop top European VW, but the wrap around back seat is interesting. I’m not sure it provides the best use of space, but it is an interesting layout. You can create a large bed in the back if you wish. Click through for a few more pics.
