carpet-engine

This is a picture of a TDI conversion, but I haven’t seen a website that details exactly what it is. What caught my eye was the carpet around the engine compartment. I need to dump that stock mat and carpet that entire area. It looks great!

dash-pad-cover

I can’t believe I haven’t seen these before. This Vanagon is outfitted with a 3 piece dash pad cover that makes your dash look like it is covered in leather. TMI also sells steering wheel covers and door panels. Click through to see another pic.

Have you wondered why there is no light over the passenger’s seat in your Vanagon? With a little work, you can have one. We purchased an extra light from GoWesty and then started the project.

We have featured this Vanagon before, but we didn’t look at the inside. What do you do when your dashboard is looking a little crummy? This guy decided to paint it.

propex

We’ve featured several of Shooftie’s hacks here at VanagonHacks.com, and this is another good one. If you haven’t been to the Shooftie Blog, check it out for some very serious Vanagon hacks! This one is a Propex heater installation in the front of the van. We’ve seen several installations in the rear cabinets, but Shooftie placed his heater inside a center console. wood-panel

This door panel is from a normal looking Syncro. They probably created a custom door panel because the original panels become warped over time. All Vanagon owners have warped door panels. Although I’d rather have fabric on my door panels, this is a nice alternative.

plaid

This custom plaid interior was put together by a company called DubWorks. The otherwise normal looking Vanagon has a lovely custom interior that adds a unique character to the van. Click through for more pics.

wide-table

This interior looks to be from an early 1980s Weekender model. Is it just me, or does that table look wider than normal? It sure looks a bit larger than my table.

HDTV in the Vanagon

A user at The Samba posted a series of pictures on how he mounted a HDTV in his Vanagon. You can head over to the forum topic here to see all the pictures. This is very cool!

custom-tdi

How would you like to drop this custom cluster into your Vanagon. I don’t have much information on it, but it appears to be custom job taken from a TDI. Love the white face!
