This normal looking Vanagon (VW T3 Multivan) has several homemade mods that other Vanagon owners can use. The interior features two gooseneck lights mounted on either side of the table. They add extra lights for the interior cabin when the single fluorescent light is not enough. There is something else mounted near the cup holder, but I cannot tell what it is. These rock and roll bed hinges are being offered on eBay for T25 camper owners who want to rebuild the bed. The listing says, “Camper van rock n roll bed hinges. Quality Italian hinges designed for the use in camper vans. Can be used in either T2, T3 even T4 and T5. These are not westy copies like JK hinges. Brand new and in stock.” The link probably won’t be good for long, but have a look here.
Several Vanagon owners have mounted TVs inside their van, but this one has to be one of the best we’ve seen. The Samba user ChilliConCarnage, has posted several pictures of his Westy, but his use of an articulating TV mount caught my eye. He basically dismantled the mount, and clamped it to the front table leg. It works perfectly! The best part is he can hide the TV behind the driver’s seat for theft deterrence. Click through to see how he hides his TV.
This interior looks stock, but is definitely not a Westy. It is very likely a Devon Moonraker interior, but I don’t know for sure. The cabinets look very stock, and it has a mount for a table on the floor. Anyone know who made this interior?
Many Vanagon owners pick up a passenger van and add their own cabinets. This guy decided to place his cabinets against the front seats. As you can see, he has plenty of storage. He also has a tent around the side door for camping. Good job!
This 1987 high top Vanagon was for sale recently in Colorado, and it has something quite unique. Red cabinets! Have you ever seen a Vanagon with red cabinets? I haven’t. This custom high top is nothing special to look at on the outside, but the inside is quite unique.
