What happens when you let your Vanagon camper go without a proper cleaning? You may end up with a moss garden up top. This guy has to be parked in a very damp area with lots of foliage around to end up like this.
Here is a nice iPad mount I ran across on The Samba. User, Abelabelabel, posted pictures of his red Vanagon and his iPad mount caught my eye. I don’t know who makes this mount, but it clips onto the dash with the ash tray removed. Looks like an easy solution for mounting the iPad on the dash. Click through for more.
This red Syncro truck was restored in Germany before being brought to the states. It was for sale earlier this year on eBay, and eventually sold for $14,000. The listing says it was completely restored, but the interior leaves a little to be desired. The paint and bumpers look great, and the black wheels look awesome. Click through to see the rest of this single cab truck.
The folks at alltogetheroutthere.com have redone the upholstery in their van, and it looks incredible. The fabric comes from none other than Sewfine, and it’s as good as new. Click through to see a video of how they did it.
This 1980 Subaru conversion is a unique find. It could easily be added to the Vanagons we’ve named “Junk Yard Dogs. This truck was for sale in Oregon, and is now archived on Barn Finds. This is definitely a homemade truck with lots of character. Just check out the wood side panels on the bed. She is dropped and sports a Subaru conversion. The engine is actually exposed in the back, so click through to see how its done.
This Syncro is for sale for a cool $88,970 from CapCityVanagons.com. Is it worth it? Yes! Every detail of this van is just awesome. We featured the dash switches in the last post, but check out the rest of the van. She sports blacked out GoWesty wheels with black bumpers. She has a ladder, winch, and roof racks, not to mention the semi side view mirrors. Every detail of this van looks awesome and the pictures speak for themselves.
I love the switches in the cockpit of this Syncro. This bad boy is featured by CapCityVanagons.com and it’s a beauty. We will feature more of this van later, but right now I’m focused on the switches mounted on the right side of the dash. This is probably the best placement and installation of switches I’ve seen. By the way, the Vanagon is for sale for a cool $88k.
I ran across this interesting set of cup holders for the Vanagon. We chose to install cup holders from GoWesty on our dash, but this is an interesting take on it. I have no idea where to get these, but I’m just admiring someone else’s choice.
This red panel van was recently sold on eBay. The very large eyebrow caught my eye. Most of the eyebrows are about half the size, but we have seen a few larger ones. I think I prefer the smaller eyebrow, but it definitely changes the character of the van. It looks like someone went a little wild with the red paint. They even painted the logos on the rear. Click through to check it out.
How can a lime green interior be gorgeous? I don’t know, but it is. This T25 camper is another former sale that took place on eBay. It looks like the company customizes interiors and the photos were a sample of their work. The listing says it includes, “full kitchen cabinet, wardrobe, top box, table and wooden rock and roll bed combination unit for a T25 camper van.” Click through for more.
