sticker-panel

Vanagon owners come up with all kinds of creative ways to make their vans unique. For example, we have seen the Sharpie Vanagon or a custom hand paint job. This owner decided to use old stickers for the front panel of his van. Interesting take. I wonder how it will hold up to the weather over time.

green-doka

This green Doka Syncro has been completely restored. The leather/canvas bed cover adds so much to this truck, and was the first thing to catch my eye. The roll bars, new wheels, smoked light covers, and gorgeous paint job make this Doka one to lust for.

koda1

Sometimes you come across a Vanagon that seems too good to be true. The thought and care that went into its restoration is beyond imagination. Koda is that van! She is in better than new quality, and the only way to get her is to custom build. Kodak’s owners decided to create the perfect road trip vehicle for their family. Everything has been redone from the ground up, and it’s gorgeous. Don’t settle for the couple of pictures we post here. Visit their website and check it out. You won’t be sorry!

peace

Many people equate the VW Bus to the Hippy movement of the 1960’s, but the Vanagon often attracts the same king of people. This 1980 Vanagon owner took the peace symbol as the theme for his interior cabinets and ceiling. It’s perfect for the Hippy in all of us. Click through for a video walkthrough.

dash-tray

This extended dashboard tray gives you extra room to organize your junk. It is secured by the ash try hole and is supposedly for sale on the Samba, although I haven’t been able to find it in the classifieds. It has four compartments that act as cup holders, or you can fill it up with your gear. The top area is wide open for mounting gauges, or whatever else you want. Check it out on The Samba.

wood-kit

This Vanagon has a wood kit. I don’t believe there was an option for a wood kit in America, but this definitely looks like it could have been an option.

triple-cab

I don’t usually post fake photos, but this one was so interesting I made an exception. This picture is not real. It is an obvious Photoshop job. The doors have the same “noise” on them, and you can see an obvious pasting line on the drop down bed doors. However, it is an interesting concept. What would happen if someone could make a triple cab Vanagon truck with a short bed. Looks cool right?

double-cab-camper

This early 1980’s double cab has a very large camper sitting on its back. We don’t have interior pictures, but this thing looks roomy! I love the bumper bars on the front, as well as the Mercedes style hubcaps. Due to the width of the camper, the owner had to modify the side view mirrors. Nice job!

extended-sleepr

This 1986 high top camper was recently for sale, and the listing says it features an “extendedable sleeping area.” It might be good for an NBA player trying to hang out with a Vanagon. I can’t tell if it is removable or not, but it looks interesting.

acrylic-visor

Here is another acrylic sun visor for the Vanagon. This one is red, and is available from Kuda in the UK. They don’t appear to have other colors so you will have to have a van whose color matches red. It also seems to sit a little higher than other visors we have seen. I have never felt the need for a visor, but if you want to add some character to your van, this may be one way to do it.
