This van was painted by an artist named Kev Munday. He blogged about painting this mural for a client who chose the picture based on their use for the van – “escaping city life for the peace and quiet of the countryside.” Kev says he likes painting vans because they make a great canvas. She also sports some very nice Porsche wheels This van was listed on eBay this year for £13,995.00. It must be worth it as the list of goodies includes, 4 birth, Rock ‘n roll bed, 2 burner hob, on board waste water tank, swivelling front passenger seat, 240v mains hook-up, 12v lighting, on board water tank with 12v pump. This is a 1989 VW hightop camper van conversion done by Leisuredrive. This one has a 1600cc Turbo Diesel engine & 5 speed gearbox and a very tall hightop. Everything on the interior is custom and ready for camping. This van was for sale back in 2011 which is where the pics came from. Click through to see the interior.
Check out this console by Dubteriors. They will be for sale online soon. The website says, “Our DubTub Console is designed to sit between the passenger and driver’s seat, it has 2 chome cup holders and storage space. We currently have the unit ready for the T2 – T25 and T4/5 versions are on their way.”
What happens when you let your Vanagon camper go without a proper cleaning? You may end up with a moss garden up top. This guy has to be parked in a very damp area with lots of foliage around to end up like this.
Here is a nice iPad mount I ran across on The Samba. User, Abelabelabel, posted pictures of his red Vanagon and his iPad mount caught my eye. I don’t know who makes this mount, but it clips onto the dash with the ash tray removed. Looks like an easy solution for mounting the iPad on the dash. Click through for more.
This red Syncro truck was restored in Germany before being brought to the states. It was for sale earlier this year on eBay, and eventually sold for $14,000. The listing says it was completely restored, but the interior leaves a little to be desired. The paint and bumpers look great, and the black wheels look awesome. The folks at alltogetheroutthere.com have redone the upholstery in their van, and it looks incredible. The fabric comes from none other than Sewfine, and it’s as good as new. Click through to see a video of how they did it.
This 1980 Subaru conversion is a unique find. It could easily be added to the Vanagons we’ve named “Junk Yard Dogs. This truck was for sale in Oregon, and is now archived on Barn Finds. This is definitely a homemade truck with lots of character. Just check out the wood side panels on the bed. She is dropped and sports a Subaru conversion. The engine is actually exposed in the back, so click through to see how its done.
